ENACTING A CRITICAL PARTICIPATORY ACTION RESEARCH PROCESS WITH OLDER ADULTS WITH VISION LOSS: A FOCUS ON COMMUNITY MOBILITY

Age-related vision loss (ARVL) has a profoundly negative impact on community mobility, which refers to people being able to move around their communities using different modes of transportation, such as driving, walking, or riding public transit. Using a critical participatory action research (CPAR) process, this study collaboratively addresses social, political, and pragmatic barriers to community mobility with older adults with ARVL and will enact social and policy-level change to address prioritized barriers.
